The are best ripened at room temperature. Besides eating them fresh, Bartlett pears are versatile and can be used in various dishes, try them sliced in a salad or try making some home-made Pear chutney to enjoy with cheese and crackers. Pear pair deliciously with Brie, Camembert, Chevre and sharp cheddar.
On receiving allow pears to ripen at room temperature, if you then want to keep them fresher for longer place in the refrigerator. Wash before use.
