ABOUT: Sweet and a bit sour with warming spices, the balanced earthy flavor of these pickled beets make you pucker up and go back for more. Caitlin and Yi Wah are siblings and co-owners behind Number 1 Sons, and use their own masala spice blend for the finishing touch. Number 1 Sons has been making their Cider Beets with the same exact recipe, for at least five years (it's that good!) at their pickle factory in Alexandria, Virginia.
HOW TO USE: Delicious on top of toast with a schmear of something creamy, fresh greens, and a pinch of something crunchy, or try as a salad topping with toasted nuts. Open over the sink.
